Awards Luncheon 2010

 
 
Washington, DC (December 29, 2009) – MEA Magazine, a publication of the award-winning organization Minority Enterprise Executive Council, is hosting a prestigious luncheon recognizing 50 Powerful Minority Women In Business on Thursday, March 11, 2010. The theme: “Women Going the Distance.” The luncheon will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at The Ritz Carlton Hotel, located at 1150 22nd Street, NW, Washington, D.C. 20037.   This event will honor fifty of the most successful women business leaders across the United States.
 
Renee Nash, Director of Information and Public Relations, WHUR-FM Radio; Tony McGee, President & CEO HNM Corporation, a real estate development company and an eleven-year NFL veteran; and Lonnette Bryant, president & CEO, GSA Federal Solutions, will emcee the event.
 
The keynote speaker is Ms. Ann Marr, vice president, human resources for World Wide Technology, Inc., (WWT - www.wwt.com). Ms. Marr is also the chair for WWT Foundation. WWT is a leading systems integrator providing technology and supply chain solutions to customers around the world. They specialize in advanced technology solutions such as Unified Communications, security, datacenter, and wireless mobility. The company has grown to $3 billion in revenues.
 
Our special guest is The Honorable Elijah E. Cummings (7th District – MD). Congressman Cummings is a senior member of the House Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure and House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform. He is also a member of the Joint Economic Committee and the House Task Force on Healthcare Reform.
